BLB&G partner Rebecca Boon will speak on a panel titled “Building an Effective Corporate Governance Strategy to Manage ESG Issues” as part of Practising Law Institute’s (“PLI”) “ESG 2024: What It Means for Boards, Management, and Counsel” program on June 4. Participants will learn about recent trends in corporate governance, how to plan effective communications strategies for dealing with ESG-related crises, and evaluate financial, reputational, and litigation risks posed by public companies.

PLI’s “ESG 2024” program addresses the relationship of ESG to long-term value creation, the duties of directors with respect to ESG initiatives, the drivers of corporate adoption of ESG measures, ESG frameworks and standards, and best practices for ESG governance. Participants will learn about the recent developments elevating ESG as a key component of corporate governance and how companies are responding to such developments. The program is designed for attorneys who advise CEOs, general counsel, board members, company management, and shareholders.
