Former partner Sean Coffey participated as a panelist at the American Bar Association’s 27th Annual Section of Litigation Committee on Corporate Counsel CLE Seminar, which was held at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 14-17, 2008.
Speaking on the topic, “Corporate Governance 2008: New Trends in Corporate Governance Law and Practice Following Enron, WorldCom and Sarbanes-Oxley,” Mr. Coffey discussed the rules governing director conduct, liability and compensation, strategies being employed by plaintiffs and defense counsel in corporate governance cases, the impact these new strategies have on boardroom behavior, and other related topics.
