BLB&G Partner Tom James Speaks at the 41st Annual Federal Securities Institute and M&A Conference

BLB&G Partner Tom James spoke on a panel titled “The Latest Developments in Delaware” at the 41st Annual Federal Securities Institute and M&A Conference in Tampa, Florida on February 25. Alongside distinguished professionals, Tom explored emerging trends and issues surrounding corporate governance and M&A litigation.

Tom prosecutes corporate governance and fiduciary duty litigation for the firm’s institutional investor clients. He has extensive experience in the Delaware Court of Chancery and is a key litigator for SPAC cases. Tom has been integral to several notable corporate governance matters, including a recent $350 million shareholder verdict challenging Columbia Pipeline’s $13 billion merger with TransCanada. He is also a frequent speaker and guest lecturer, having taught classes at Boston College Law School, Harvard Law School, and Villanova Law School concerning issues in corporate law and M&A.

Most recently, Tom co-authored an article debunking a common myth of Delaware law published by the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance.
