For another year, BLB&G has been named a top-tier firm by The Legal 500 in its USA Practice Area Rankings, achieving Tier 1 status in both the plaintiff-side Securities Litigation and M&A Litigation categories.
In the Securities Litigation: Plaintiff category, BLB&G is described as being “widely regarded as the leading plaintiff firm in securities litigation.” Clients deliver high praise, saying BLB&G delivers “outstanding services with a true capability to listen to the client,” and noting that its partners “only recommend cases that are high-profile and extremely promising.”
The Legal 500 individually recognized partners Max Berger, Rebecca Boon, Sal Graziano, Jim Harrod, Avi Josefson, John Rizio-Hamilton, Hannah Ross, Jerry Silk, Katie Sinderson, and Jeroen van Kwawegen as part of the firm’s strong bench.
Max Berger was named to the Hall of Fame list, which recognizes practitioners at the very top of their profession. The guide also named Salvatore Graziano as a Leading Partner for his long-established reputation in the sector, and named Rebecca Boon and Katie Sinderson as Next Generation Partners, a category which recognizes younger partners who make a material difference to the practice. Avi Josefson, Jim Harrod, John Rizio-Hamilton and Jeroen van Kwawegen, among others, were recognized as some of the practice’s key lawyers.
In the M&A Litigation category, The Legal 500 notes that BLB&G is considered to be “currently the best plaintiffs’ side firm doing corporate litigation in the United States.” The firm received a glowing review for “routinely out-litigat[ing] first-class defense side firms.”
The Legal 500 recognized Jeroen van Kwawegen as a Leading Partner for his work in guiding the corporate governance department, and highlighted his legal expertise as Practice Head. Greg Varallo was also honored as Practice Head, noting Greg is “unmatched in his experience, depth of knowledge and strategic thinking.” CJ Orrico was named as a Next Generation Partner in the corporate governance arena. Ed Timlin, Andrew Blumberg, and Tom James were also praised for their key roles in some of the firm’s most significant corporate governance cases.
