BLB&G to Host Cash Sweep Misconduct Webinar in Partnership with Former SEC Commissioner Robert J. Jackson Jr.

On August 26, BLB&G will host a webinar featuring former SEC Commissioner Robert J. Jackson, Jr. and former SEC advisor Edwin Hu, as well as partners Avi Josefson and Adam Wierzbowski, to discuss an ongoing investigation of major brokerage firms for underpaying billions in interest on cash sweep accounts.

Amid recent disclosures of artificially low interest rates paid by cash sweep programs at major financial institutions, the firm has launched a new Cash Sweep Task Force in partnership with former Commissioner Jackson to pursue civil cases regarding misconduct around cash-sweep account practices.

During the webinar, participants will learn more about the claims available to brokerage customers who were harmed by this misconduct and how the firm is working to recover funds on behalf of injured customers.
