BLB&G Partner Jim Harrod spoke on a panel titled “D&O International Update” at the PLUS D&O Symposium in New York on March 4. Alongside esteemed professionals, Jim discussed the increasing litigation risks facing directors and officers of international companies based outside the United States and strategies for insurers, brokers, and legal advisors to mitigate these risks.
Jim practices securities litigation at the firm's New York office, representing institutional investors in securities fraud-related matters. He played key roles in the Allianz Structured Alpha Funds case (over $2 billion in recoveries) and In re Motorola Securities Litigation ($190 million recovery). Jim also leads the firm’s Global Securities and Litigation Monitoring Team. He frequently speaks to public pension fund organizations and trustees about fiduciary duties, emerging securities litigation issues, and financial markets.
