BLB&G Partner Jim Harrod spoke on a panel titled “Ethics, Due Diligence and the Offering Process” as part of Practising Law Institute’s (“PLI”) “Securities Offerings 2024” program on October 28. Participants learned the public offering process from start to finish, including how to draft key documentation, conduct proper due diligence, and work effectively with the SEC.
Jim practices securities litigation at the firm's New York office, representing institutional investors in securities fraud-related matters. He played key roles in the Allianz Structured Alpha Funds case (over $2 billion in recoveries) and In re Motorola Securities Litigation ($190 million recovery). Jim also leads the firm’s Global Securities and Litigation Monitoring Team. He frequently speaks to public pension fund organizations and trustees about fiduciary duties, emerging securities litigation issues, and financial markets.
