Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP (“BLB&G”) supports the people of Los Angeles City and County who have been affected by devastating wildfires this week. So many Los Angeles communities have suffered tremendous loss and disruption in this disaster, and we express our condolences to all who have been impacted.
We are incredibly grateful for the brave first responders who are tirelessly battling these fires on the front lines to protect lives and property. To support their critical service, BLB&G is contributing to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to ensure these heroes have the essential tools and safety equipment they need to contain these fires. Wildfire emergency donations to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation can be made here.
BLB&G stands in support of our valued Los Angeles clients, including the Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions, Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System, Los Angeles Water and Power Employees Retirement Plan, Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association, and Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Our hearts are also with our dear clients and friends in the Los Angeles union community, including UA Local 250 and the Southern California Pipe Trades. So many of our clients’ employees and members have been directly affected by these fires, are playing integral roles in the emergency response, and will be essential in the recovery efforts for the Los Angeles community.
We hope that with the strength and resilience of the Los Angeles community and the tireless efforts of its first responders, this crisis will be resolved safely and swiftly. We will continue to support our clients, colleagues, and the Los Angeles community as we rebuild and recover together.
