BLB&G Partner Hannah Ross will speak on “The Role of Shareholder Litigation in Driving Corporate Governance Reforms” at the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association (FPPTA) Winter Trustee School on January 30, 2023. The session is one of several continuing education workshops to help trustees better understand legally mandated procedures, the ethical and fiduciary rules that should inform trustees’ actions, activities of the professionals hired by the pension board, and trustees’ day-to-day decisions. Hannah has spoken at previous FPPTA events and is frequently called upon to speak at other pension and securities related conferences around the country.
The FPPTA is a non-profit organization, established for the purpose of providing education and information for and about Florida’s public pension system, and advocating for defined benefit pension plans. The organization holds Trustee Schools each year, offering classes and lectures, continuing education workshops, panel discussions, and “break out” sessions with a focus on group discussion and participation.
