On June 15, 2023, BLB&G Associate Mae Oberste will serve as a panelist at the Delaware State Bar Association’s Bench and Bar Conference. She and fellow Court of Chancery members will share their legal expertise on “Real World Chancery,” discussing hot topics on the Court of Chancery’s docket in the past year, including SPACs, advance notice bylaws, and Caremark liability.
This year’s conference, “Bench & Bar 2023: 100 Years – Looking Back, Moving Forward,” will consider topics such as: the links between various forms of abuse in service of better protecting and supporting victims, how to best prepare for mediation, an update to Brady obligations and the new proposed change to Criminal Rule 16, and this year’s headline cases in the Court of Chancery. The event also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the DSBA, an organization which strives to promote ethical conduct by lawyers, require and offer high quality continuing legal education, protect the public from the unauthorized practice of law, review and make recommendations regarding Delaware’s court system, and foster the mentoring of new lawyers.
Mae Oberste practices out of the firm’s Wilmington office, prosecuting corporate governance and shareholder rights litigation on behalf of the firm’s institutional investor clients. In addition to her litigation duties, Mae is currently an executive committee member of the Delaware State Bar Association and a member of the Richard S. Rodney American Inn of Court.
