BLB&G Counsel Jonathan Compretta and Associate Brittney Balser to Speak on GAPPT Trustee School Panel, “The Current State of Securities Litigation”

On September 16, BLB&G counsel Jonathan Compretta and associate Brittney Balser will speak on the panel “The Current State of Securities Litigation” at the Georgia Association of Public Pension Trustees (GAPPT) Annual Trustee School. Along with fellow legal professionals, Jonathan and Brittney will discuss the current state of securities fraud litigation, with a specific focus on recent trends in securities litigation and how cases are being litigated and defended. They will also provide insights on key court developments, including the U.S. Supreme Court’s growing focus on securities fraud cases and the implications for public pension funds.

Jonathan is a member of the firm’s case development and client advisory group, where he is tasked with institutional investor and client outreach. He is also a member of the Mississippi State Bar Association.

Brittney prosecutes securities fraud, corporate governance, and shareholder rights litigation on behalf of the firm’s institutional investor clients. She is also a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee and Beyond #MeToo: A Working Group on Corporate Governance, Compliance, and Risk
