Joe Morris III is a counsel and member of BLB&G’s case development and advisory group, where his responsibilities include institutional investor and client outreach. 

Prior to joining BLB&G, Joe was Of Counsel with Bey & Associates, LLC, where he handled all types of injury cases, including car wrecks, trucking cases, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, and premises liability. 

In 2009 and prior to joining Bey & Associates, Joe started The Morris Firm, LLC. The Morris Law Firm is a fully integrated law, public affairs, and governmental relations firm that helps clients solve problems in the areas of lobbying, local government, procurements, and vendor relationships. The Morris Law Firm has advocated on behalf of large and small businesses.  

Before starting The Morris Firm, LLC, Joe served as a senior associate at Ahmann, which provided strategic support for the Atlanta Committee for Progress (ACP), an association of top business and academic leaders brought together to collaborate with and worked advise then-Mayor Shirley Franklin on economic development initiatives and business recruitment. While at Ahmann, Joe served as a project manager for the ACP, including Beltline, Brand Atlanta, and the Peachtree Streetcar. 

Early in his career, Joe worked for the City of Atlanta for 10 years. In his last role, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff to then-Mayor Shirley Franklin, where he managed the communications department, the department of human services, constituent services, and the intergovernmental relations and international affairs office.
